An earthquake occurred in Kashkadarya

Today, 14 February, an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred in Kashkadarya.  This was reported by the Republican Center for Seismoprognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It is noted that the earthquake occurred at 05:48 a.m. local time.

The coordinates of the earthquake were 38.22 degrees north latitude, 66.36 degrees east longitude.  The epicenter of this earthquake is located at a depth of 10 km.

The epicenter of the earthquake is the Dehkanabad district of the region, located 417 km southwest of Tashkent.

It should be recalled that on 6 February of this year, two earthquakes with a magnitude of more than seven occurred in the southeast of Turkey (at 04:17a.m. local time – 7.7 points and at 13:24 – 7.6 points)  The devastating earthquake was also felt in neighboring countries, including Syria, Lebanon, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the Republic of Cyprus and Iraq.

Earthquakes also occurred in neighboring Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan.
