“Jihadists” were captured in Kashkadarya

In the Kitab district of the Kashkadarya region, the activities of the people who propagated the ideas of the "Jihadists" movement were stopped.  This was reported by the Press Service under the State Security Service.

It is reported that the resident of Kitab district, was born in 1998. Q.T. during his work in the Russian Federation in 2020-2021, was influenced by members of the religious extremist movement "Jihadists" through social networks and supported them.  After returning to his permanent residence, he promoted the ideas of this group to those around him.

It was also discovered that he had established contact with the militants in Syria via the internet and planned to join their ranks through the "Russia-Turkey" route based on their guidance and instructions, and this was prevented.

It is noted that, as part of the criminal case against Q.T., appropriate measures are being taken to identify his connections.

In addition, living in the Karshi district, born in 1985, R.S. during his work in Saudi Arabia in 2021, were influenced by the members "Jihadists" religious extremist group and established contacts with them, and supported the ideas of the movement.

Even after returning to his place of residence, he was engaged in promoting the ideas of the religious extremist group “Jihadists” among his relatives and through social networks.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against R.S. under article 244-1 of the Criminal Code, and a "receipt" precautionary measure has been applied based on the principle of humanitarianism.

J.M., living in Karshi, was born in 1993.  "Jihadists" were influenced by the criminal group members through social networks, created a group and channel on Telegram messenger, and propagated extremist ideas through them.

According to the verdict of the Karshi city court on criminal cases, taking into account the fact that she is a single mother with a 9-month-old child, she was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment.
