9682Recent social media reports indicate that tax inspectors arrested a restaurant owner in the Kashkadarya region for allegedly dining and drinking on credit without settling the bill. The regional tax department has addressed the situation.
According to the reports, a group of tax inspectors visited a restaurant on August 12, which they designated as their day. They reportedly dined and drank at the establishment and left without paying. When the restaurant owner later requested payment for the services, the inspectors conducted a conditional inspection of the restaurant and attempted to shut it down, leading to the owner’s arrest for six days.
The Kashkadarya regional tax department has stated that the situation is currently being reviewed by the department head.
"The information provided in the message is being examined," said an official statement from the department.
This incident follows a previous case in Nukus, where an inspector took possession of an elderly man’s house with dementia and transferred it to his wife.
