Will the penalty increase for late payment?

The amount of the fine for not paying the debt on time cannot exceed the amount in the enforcement document.  This is stated in the amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

According to the amendments and additions to the Code, non-execution by the debtor within the period set for voluntary execution of an executive document for the collection of an amount equal to or not exceeding 10 times the amount of the basic calculation:

• to citizens up to 5 times the amount of basic calculation (up to 1 million 650 thousand soums);
• officials will be fined up to 10 times (up to 3 million 300 thousand soums).

 Previously, the minimum amount of the fine was fixed, and citizens were fined from 1 time of BHM, and officials from 5 times.

 It was also determined that the amount of the administrative fine cannot exceed the amount specified in the executive document.

 Previously, such a norm did not exist.

 According to the law, the following have the right to review cases of administrative violations and apply administrative sanctions on behalf of the Enforcement Bureau:

• Chief State Executive of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
• Chief state executives of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, their deputies;
• heads of district (city) departments of the mandatory enforcement bureau;
• previously, the application of administrative sanctions belonged to state executives.
