Deputy head of the Social Protection Agency was appointed

Usman Sharifkhojaev, who has served as the First Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education since 2023, has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the National Social Protection Agency under the President of Uzbekistan. This was announced by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.

Born on July 9, 1986, in Tashkent, Sharifkhojaev graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute in 2007 and from Westminster International University in 2011. He began his career at the Tashkent Financial Institute and the Tashkent State University of Economics.

From 2016 to 2017, Sharifkhojaev headed a department at the former Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education. In 2017, he served as the chief consultant on scientific issues at the Science, Education, Health, and Sports Affairs Service of the President's Office. He was also the Deputy Head of the State Inspectorate for Quality Control of Education from 2017 to 2018 and later served as the Head of the Education Department in the Presidential Administration from 2018 to 2020. Between 2020 and 2023, he held the position of First Deputy Minister of Public Education.
