Italian Prime Minister stops in Uzbekistan

8567Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stopped in Uzbekistan yesterday, July 31. She was received at the Tashkent airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov. The minister shared this news on his social media page.
"We are pleased to meet with Her Excellency the Chairwoman of the Italian Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, who made a short stop in Tashkent. We conveyed the sincere greetings of His Excellency the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The agenda of the Uzbekistan-Italy strategic partnership relations is comprehensive and developing rapidly," Minister Saidov wrote.
Other details of the meeting were not disclosed.
For your information, Giorgia Meloni was in China on an official visit from July 28-31, and on her way back, she made a brief stop in Tashkent.
It is worth noting that in June of last year, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited Italy, and in November, the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, visited Uzbekistan.
