4446An Uzbek citizen who went to work in Turkey at the suggestion of her aunt and ended up stranded on the street has been returned to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
It was noted that the woman, originally from the Jizzakh region, traveled to Istanbul for work at her aunt’s suggestion but found herself in a difficult situation. She was homeless for two days. The Consulate General in Istanbul ensured the 21-year-old woman's safe return to Uzbekistan.
"The cost of her airfare and other expenses was covered by members of the International Society of Uzbek Industrialists, Entrepreneurs, and Scientists," the report states.
It is worth noting that earlier, Uzbek children who had been neglected in Russia were also repatriated.
