2025 Islamic Solidarity Games set for Riyadh

6461The 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games will be held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, as confirmed by the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.
Currently, the next session of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) is underway in Tirana, Albania, where members are discussing matters related to the hosting of the Games and the future activities of the organization.
During the session, it was officially confirmed that Riyadh would be the host city for the upcoming Games, which are scheduled to take place from November 7 to 21, 2025. The competition program will feature 13 Olympic sports, 4 non-Olympic sports, 3 Paralympic sports, and 1 national sport.
For context, the previous Islamic Solidarity Games were held in 2022 in Konya, Turkey, where Uzbekistan’s delegation finished in second place in the overall team standings, earning 51 gold, 42 silver, and 65 bronze medals out of 56 participating countries.
