Ministers who are unable to do their job will resign – the President

From now on, any minister who can’t do his job will resign, and if corruption is allowed in the system, the ministers will also answer.  President Shavkat Mirziyoyev mentioned this in his address to the chambers of the Oliy Majlis today, 20 December.

“We talk a lot about corruption, but if corruption is allowed in the system, why should the ministers not answer?  Now the request will be different.  “The minister will be the first to respond to the effective and targeted use of the funds allocated to his system,” said the head of state.

He emphasized that state representatives and ministers should win the love of our people with their honest work, simplicity, patriotism, sincerity and selflessness.

“Now, the political responsibility of the ministers will be increased, drafts of government decisions, important socio-economic issues related to the life of our country will be resolved collegially with the direct participation of the ministers,” said the President.

Also, in order to solve problems in each region, “Government Day” will be held every month.

From now on, every year at the beginning of the year, the minister will report to the public on the plan in the field and at the end of the year on its results.
