A 25-year-old woman who made offensive remarks about residents of Tashkent on social media has been sentenced to 10 days in prison. QALAMPIR.UZ reviewed the court’s decision regarding the case.

According to the ruling, on February 4, a video featuring N.Kh., a third-year student at the ISFT Institute, originally from the Surkhandarya region, was shared on Instagram and Telegram. In the footage, she used obscene language to insult Tashkent residents.

On February 10, the Yunusabad District Court for Criminal Cases heard her administrative case. During the trial, N.Kh. admitted her guilt and explained that the video, which resurfaced on February 5, had actually been posted in the stories section of her Instagram account a month earlier.

The court found her guilty of petty hooliganism under Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and sentenced her to 10 days of administrative detention.

It is worth noting that in a separate case, another woman who had insulted residents of a different region was previously sentenced to 15 days in prison. The Yakkasaroy District Court for Criminal Cases found her guilty under the same article and issued a similar administrative detention sentence.
