14922On May 14, an 11th-grade student died following a violent altercation between schoolchildren in the Pakhtachi district of the Samarkand region, according to a report by the “Millar” program.
The incident involved three students from School No. 1 and two students from School No. 12. Preliminary findings suggest the conflict stemmed from arguments and insults exchanged in the comments section of Instagram.
Medical personnel who arrived at the scene confirmed that the student was biologically dead upon their arrival.
“Maximum pupil dilation, no pulse in major arteries and veins, injuries to the neck, and traces of blood around the mouth and nose were observed,” the attending doctor reported.
In connection with the case, the Pakhtachi district police department has launched a criminal investigation under Article 104, Part 3, Clause “d” of the Criminal Code (causing death by intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm). The minors involved in the incident were taken into custody, and a preventive detention measure has been applied.
This incident follows a similar case in Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulugbek district, where a dispute between two schoolmates—both born in 2007—ended in violence. One of the students sustained injuries during the quarrel and was hospitalized.
