Ilham Aliyev meets with the head of “Uzbekneftegaz”

On March 4, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Nail Maganov, General Director of Russia’s "Tatneft", Askhat Khasenov, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan’s "KazMunayGas", and Bakhodir Sidikov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan’s "Uzbekneftegaz". This was reported by the presidential press service.  

During the meeting, Aliyev emphasized that a new stage of multilateral cooperation among the countries had begun, following successful preparatory efforts. He highlighted the strong production ties already established between the oil companies of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.  

“The President noted that a number of projects are being implemented bilaterally and stressed the importance of consolidating efforts in this regard,” the statement said.  

Discussions also covered the prospects of the newly established cooperation format, with hopes that it would further expand economic ties between the countries. It was noted that this initiative remains open to the participation of other foreign companies.
