Is the retirement age for DIA employees extended?

16313Reports circulating on social networks suggest that the service period required for retirement in internal affairs bodies may be extended to 25 years. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has responded to these reports.
Under the current law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, titled "On Pension Provision of Military Personnel," and Presidential Decree No. 3413, employees in internal affairs bodies are entitled to receive a pension after completing 20 calendar years of service.
"The introduction of proposals or amendments to regulatory legal documents concerning the activities of internal affairs bodies to extend the service period to 25 years is not currently under consideration," the statement clarifies.
It should be noted that prior adjustments were made to the service terms for specific titles.
