Khusanov earns Guardiola’s praise ahead of Real Madrid clash

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has praised the performance of Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov. Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Champions League clash against Real Madrid, Guardiola highlighted Khusanov's defensive qualities and rapid adaptation to the team.

"Khusanov is a threat when the opponent dribbles. He runs very fast. He plays aggressively but effectively in one-on-one battles. That's why we signed him. Only time will tell, and he still has a lot to learn," said Guardiola.

Since joining the club, Khusanov has played in two matches and already managed to score one goal. With City's main defender Manuel Akanji sidelined due to a long-term injury, Khusanov is expected to feature in the upcoming match against Real Madrid.
