German President arrives in Uzbekistan with wife

Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Uzbekistan today, June 17, at the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his wife. UzA reported this.
According to the report, the high-ranking guest was welcomed at Tashkent-Humo International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Ochilboy Ramatov and other officials.

According to the official visit program, the heads of state will hold talks in narrow and expanded formats. The parties will discuss further developing multifaceted Uzbekistan-Germany relations.
Special attention will be paid to expanding practical cooperation in trade, industrial cooperation, energy and green technologies, transport and logistics, pharmaceuticals and the chemical industry, and agriculture, as well as to intensifying educational and humanitarian exchanges.

The parties will also exchange views on current international and regional issues. As part of the talks, a number of new joint projects and programs are planned to be launched.
Earlier, President of Albania Bajram Begaj arrived in Uzbekistan with his wife. Later, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Bajram Begaj held talks at the Kuksaroy residence with the participation of official delegations.
