German Chancellor will visit Samarkand

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz of the Federal Republic of Germany will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on September 15-16. This was reported by the President's press service.

According to the visit program, high-level negotiations will be held in Samarkand, focusing on the further development of Uzbek-German multilateral cooperation.

"The discussions will address expanding trade, economic, technological, and investment-financial partnerships; deepening cooperation with leading German companies and banks; and continuing active relations in labor migration, ecology, education, health, culture, tourism, and other areas. Opinions will also be exchanged on current regional cooperation aspects," the report stated.

As part of the program, the President of Uzbekistan and the Federal Chancellor of Germany will also meet with the business communities of both countries.

It is also noted that Olaf Scholz is scheduled to participate in the C5+1 format summit in Kazakhstan on September 15 and will include Uzbekistan as part of this trip.
