The Head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, discussed issues related to the long-term supply and transportation of Russian gas, as reported by the press service of the holding.
The working meeting took place on November 30.

"The parties discussed the development of mutual cooperation within the framework of the agreement on strategic cooperation signed in November. In particular, they discussed the prospects for the long-term delivery and transportation of Russian natural gas," the report said.

In early November, Gazprom and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on strategic cooperation covering supply, transportation, and processing of natural gas, as well as geological exploration and production.

In June, Uzbekistan concluded a two-year gas purchase agreement with Gazprom, with a delivery volume of 9 million cubic meters per day and an annual volume of almost 2.8 billion cubic meters. Delivery under this contract began on October 7, 2023.

"At the same time, the horizon of gas cooperation between Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan is 15 years, and a long-term cooperation agreement can be concluded in the middle of 2024," said Alexey Miller, the head of Gazprom.

The supply of Russian gas in the opposite direction through the "Central Asia-Center" gas pipeline should be carried out no later than November 2025.

Simultaneously, Gazprom and Kazakhstan are currently working on a supply route for the gasification of Astana. The company is also considering new routes to increase supplies to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, including the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline. Additionally, "Gazprom" does not rule out gas transit to third countries through Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
