The Russian company "Gazprom" has opened its representative office in Uzbekistan. This was reported in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities of the Russian Federation (USRLE).
The Russian Trade Mission reminded us that in May 2024, a roadmap for expanding cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and Gazpromneft was adopted.
For information, a contract for the supply of gas from Russia to Uzbekistan was concluded in June 2023. According to the agreement, gas supply to Uzbekistan started in October, with a daily volume of 9 million cubic meters and an annual volume of about 2.8 billion cubic meters.
Additionally, it was earlier reported that "Gazprom" signed long-term contracts on gas transit through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan until 2040. These contracts will allow it to export up to 12 billion cubic meters of gas.
