The Ministry of Emergency Situations has urged the public to exercise caution due to the risk of icicles, snow masses, and ice falling from rooftops.

The ministry called on citizens to observe the following safety measures:

– Avoid approaching buildings with high roofs where snow, icicles, or ice may be present, and do not allow children to play or stay in such areas;
– Do not attempt to pass through hazardous areas marked with barriers or warning signs, and instead take an alternative route;
– Avoid walking outdoors while wearing headphones, as you may not hear the sound of falling snow or ice from rooftops;
– When walking along sidewalks, if you hear suspicious noises from upper floors, do not stop. Look up and assess the situation. It may indicate falling snow, icicles, or ice. In such cases, running away may not be possible, so move as quickly as possible close to the building wall, which offers greater safety;
– Do not park vehicles near tall buildings or structures with accumulated snow, icicles, or ice on their roofs;
– If a person is injured by falling snow, icicles, or ice from a roof, immediately call emergency medical services.
