Footballer and fans love Shomurodov – Ranieri  

Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri praised striker Eldor Shomurodov following his performance in the Europa League match against Eintracht Frankfurt, where Roma secured a 2-0 victory in the 8th round of the general stage.  

Shomurodov made an immediate impact, scoring just two minutes after coming on as a substitute.  

"I told him to stay with us. All the guys and the fans love Shomurodov because he gives us everything we need. I’ve worked with him before at Cagliari—he always smiles, even though sometimes he makes me angry! I told him, 'If you leave, who will make me angry?!'" Ranieri joked.  

Roma finished 15th in the Europa League general tournament standings and has now advanced to the play-off stage. The draw for the next round will take place today, January 31.  

Earlier, reports indicated that another Italian club, Venezia, had reached an agreement to sign Shomurodov on loan.
