Artists and bloggers clash during football tournament in Tashkent (video)

A public brawl erupted between artists and bloggers during the LikeCup football tournament at Jar Stadium in Tashkent on May 29. The incident, which occurred during a match between the two teams, was broadcast live on the "Sport" TV channel.

The match, which ended with a 1–0 victory, took a dramatic turn when a member of the winning team headbutted a member of the losing team, triggering a physical altercation on the field.

One of the tournament organizers, actor and producer Alisher Uzoqov, later stated that the incident was initially intended as a staged PR stunt by the "Katta Bollar" team. However, he admitted that the situation quickly spiraled out of control.

"A small PR move was planned by the 'Katta Bollar' team, but it got out of control and escalated in an unexpected way. I want to emphasize that no one was injured during today’s unpleasant incident. Still, no one anticipated things would go this far," Uzoqov explained.

The incident, which was broadcast in real time, was not interrupted. As of now, law enforcement authorities have not released any official statements regarding the incident.
