Fico arrives in Uzbekistan

On the evening of June 8, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico arrived in Uzbekistan, UzA reported.
He was warmly welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other officials.
During his visit from June 8 to 10, high-level negotiations will be held in Tashkent to further develop Uzbek-Slovak multifaceted cooperation. Key areas of focus include expanding partnerships in trade, investment, innovation, agriculture, industry, energy, and tourism.
The agenda will also cover organized labor migration, cultural, humanitarian, and educational cooperation, as well as discussions on international issues, including mutual support in multilateral forums.
At the conclusion of the leaders’ meeting, several documents aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovakia are expected to be signed.
Prime Minister Fico will also participate in the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum during his visit.
Following his stay in Uzbekistan, Fico will travel to Astana, Kazakhstan, on June 10.
“We will visit these countries for three days and return on Wednesday. The visit will primarily focus on establishing strategic cooperation,” said Robert Fico.
