Firdavs Abdukholiqov leaves Cinematography agency directorship

Firdavs Fridunovich Abdukholikov has stepped down as the director of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He has been appointed as the director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan under the Cabinet of Ministers. This announcement was made by the Prime Minister's press secretary, Bekzod Hidoyatov.

As a result, Shoazim Shoislomovich Minovarov was relieved from his position.

For context, Firdavs Abdukholiqov has been leading the Cinematography Agency since May 2021. Previously, he was the chairman of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan. His career began as a teacher at the 33rd vocational school in Samarkand. He then served as the director of the regional youth center, the general director of the STV television and radio company, the deputy chairman of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, and the chief consultant for the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, among other significant roles.
