Teachers are Expected to Receive Monthly Bonuses

  In Uzbekistan, there are plans to implement a monthly bonus payment system of up to 50% for educators who demonstrate exceptional performance.  This proposal was announced during a meeting of the "National Revival" democratic party faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, as part of the first-year activities of the 2023 State Program for the implementation of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026, focusing on "Attention to People and Quality Education."  The announcement was made based on the report presented by the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the quarterly results.

According to the report, a draft decision titled "On the Introduction of an Improved System of Remuneration for the Work of Employees of Professional Educational Institutions and Strengthening their Financial Incentives" has been developed under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.  This document aims to increase the salaries of teachers employed in professional educational institutions by an average of 20% and introduce a system of monthly increments of up to 50% on the basic tariff rates for dedicated, proactive, and high-achieving educators. 

The report of the Cabinet of Ministers was approved by the deputies during the meeting.
