Earlier, it was reported that a man named Otabek Vallomov, together with his acquaintances, organized a brawl in a computer game club called “Verona” located on "Aftob" Street in Fergana. As part of this case, Vallomov was sentenced to six years and six months in prison. QALAMPIR.UZ reviewed the court document.
According to the document, on February 21 of this year, at 17:40, the defendants entered the computer game club “Verona” in Fergana as a group. During the game, they behaved loudly and disturbed public order.
A club employee attempted to calm them down, but during the resulting altercation, he and another employee were injured. At the same time, another staff member who tried to report the incident was also assaulted by the defendants.
In court, Otabek Vallomov partially admitted his guilt, stating that he attacked the club employee in anger because the employee allegedly made insulting remarks about his mother. He also said that he had previously visited this club with friends, that there was no prior hostility, and that the incident happened unexpectedly. Vallomov added that he was an entrepreneur employing more than 100 people, expressed regret for his actions, and asked the court for leniency.
The injured club employee denied Vallomov’s claims of insult during the court hearing. He explained that other customers were unhappy with the shouting that day, so he intervened in the situation. He firmly rejected the defendants’ allegation that he had cursed at them. According to his testimony, he was hospitalized for three days due to the injuries he sustained.
The victims stated that the damage caused had been fully compensated and that they had no claims against the defendants.
The court sentenced Otabek Vallomov to six years and six months in prison under Article 277 (hooliganism), Part 3, Clause “g,” Article 104 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm), Part 2, Clauses “b,” “ye,” and “k,” as well as Part 3, Article 59 (punishment for committing several crimes) of the Criminal Code. His acquaintances were also sentenced to five years and six months in prison under the same articles.
This case was reviewed by the appellate instance of the Fergana Regional Criminal Court on July 14 of this year, but the verdict remained unchanged.
