Fergana resident caught selling state land for $650,000

A person in the Fergana region has been detained for attempting to sell 2.5 hectares of state reserve land for $650,000, receiving $100,000 in advance. This was confirmed by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The arrest occurred during the "clean" operational and preventive measures in Fergana, where 939 cases were identified, including 86 criminal and 853 administrative violations. As a result, 98 individuals faced criminal charges, and administrative actions were taken against 889 people. Additionally, 49 crimes were solved, 31 wanted individuals were detained, and 1,167 people received official warnings.

The detained individual was caught with material evidence while finalizing the sale of the state land, located in the Kenagas neighborhood. The land consisted of 90 hectares of uninhabited territory and 1.6 hectares in the state reserve.
Several other incidents were reported during the operations:
- A person was arrested in Fergana district for selling 500 grams of narcotics for $2,300. A chemical analysis confirmed that the seized drug was 1.47 kg of marijuana.
- In Rishton district, a man was detained for assaulting a shopkeeper after being denied credit for his purchases. He faces charges under Article 277 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.
- In Oltiariq district, illegal electricity usage by a horticultural farm was discovered, resulting in damages of 1.897 billion sums to the state.
These events occurred amid the large-scale "Oriat" and narcotic operations conducted by the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs across Uzbekistan from February 5-7. During these operations, 269 criminal cases were initiated against 339 individuals, 119 people faced administrative penalties, and 53 wanted persons were detained.
