A one-day-old baby is abandoned in a field in Ferghana

It is noted that on November 2 of this year, a newborn baby girl, whose umbilical cord had not been cut, was abandoned in a large field in the "Yukori Archa" Makhalla of the Fergana district. The infant was discovered by a citizen walking around the field with a horse near sunset.

"Fortunately, I was walking around the field that day. Otherwise, after an hour and a half, it would have been dark, and there were dogs roaming nearby," said the man who found the baby.

He immediately called his son, who arrived at the scene accompanied by a regional inspector. Despite the fact that an ambulance was called, the inspector took the baby to the hospital in his own car to save time.

In the hospital, the baby's life was saved, but it was revealed that her body temperature had dropped due to the extended exposure to cold.

"The baby was abandoned as soon as she was born. From the marks on her navel, it is known that the birth took place at home," stated one of the doctors who provided first aid to the child.

Information widely distributed on social networks suggests that the baby's parents are still schoolchildren.

QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Ismail Sharipov, the head of the information service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Fergana region, to clarify the situation. According to him, the identity of the biological father of the woman and the child who committed this crime has been determined. Currently, a criminal case has been opened against them under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigations are underway.

"That's all I can tell you; information about the identity of citizens is kept secret according to the law," says Sharipov.
