Fergana region experiences 2 fires on March 23

Yesterday, March 23, two fires broke out in the Uchkuprik and Uzbek districts of the Fergana region. This was reported by the regional Emergency Situations Department.

At 19:42, a fire occurred in a 70-square-meter clothing store located on Navruzshah Street in the Uchkuprik district. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 19:44, contained the fire at 19:47, and completely extinguished it by 19:55.

“There were no casualties as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently under investigation,” the report states.

Another fire occurred at 22:09 in the Oktepa neighborhood area of the Uzbek district, where a fire broke out in transformer oil. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 22:14, contained the fire by 22:16, and extinguished it completely at 22:21.

“There were no injuries as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire and the damage caused are currently being determined,” the report adds.

It should be recalled that a previous fire occurred in one of the apartment buildings in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent.
