In Fergana, a bank manager was caught with a $3,500 bribe

The manager of the Kokan branch of one of the joint-stock commercial banks in Fergana was caught while accepting a bribe of $3,500 from a citizen.

It was reported that the manager of the bank demanded $3,500 from the citizen in exchange for writing a letter to the Enforcement Bureau to write off the debt of 62 million soms from the loan allocated to a local private enterprise and to cancel the ban imposed on this debt.

When he received the money, he was arrested by the employees of the State Security Service for Fergana region and the regional department of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

A criminal case was initiated under Article 25,168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code.
