A 20-year-old woman commits suicide

A 20-year-old woman tragically committed suicide in the Fergana region, as reported by the General Prosecutor's Office. It was reported that on August 20th, a 20-year-old woman residing in the Uzbekistan district took her own life in her residence.

According to the "Sukut Saqlama" project, the young woman, identified as Z.T., had recently married a 30-year-old man. Following the wedding, she began to confide in complaints of physical abuse from her husband. She had also reached out to her family, pleading for them to take her away from her marital home.

Upon learning of her passing, her siblings visited her husband's residence, where they discovered her lifeless body in the yard. Neighbors stated that on the fateful day, the bride had been alone in the yard, and her family members had apparently locked her inside before leaving the premises.

The district prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. A forensic examination has been scheduled to ascertain the cause of death.

The report emphasizes that the legal course of action will be determined based on the findings of the investigation.

It's a poignant reminder that an earlier incident occurred in the Altinkol district of the Andijan region, where a 21-year-old bride took her own life by hanging.
