The theft of gas worth 18 billion soms in Ferghana was uncovered

A local private enterprise illegally using natural gas in the city of Kuvasoy, Fergana region was detected.  This was reported by the press service of the State Security Service.

It is noted that the event was held by the employees of the Fergana Regional Department of the State Security Service, the gas supply branch of “Hududgaz Fergana” and the Fergana Regional Department of “Uzbekneftgazinspeksiya.”  At the event, it was found that a local private enterprise illegally connected to natural gas in the Ormiyan village of Kuvasoy without having the relevant documents and produced lime using 72 household furnaces.

According to preliminary estimates, 18,314,000 cubic meters of natural gas were illegally used by the company from June of last year to March of this year.  The damage caused to the state amounted to 18 billion 314 million soms.  In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated under the relevant article of the Criminal Code.
