“In view of the worsening situation in Ukraine and the introduction of a state of emergency, we provide the following information to the citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kyiv is currently preparing an evacuation plan and a list of citizens wishing to leave Ukraine. The routes and destinations of the flights are being worked out, taking into account the closure of the airspace of Ukraine.

Citizens of Uzbekistan will be further informed on the website of the Embassy wwww.uzbekistan.org.ua and on social networks as the issues of permissible evacuation routes are agreed with the relevant third-party services.

All Uzbek citizens wishing to leave Ukraine are requested to send their passport data to the e-mail address of the Embassy, embassy@uzbekistan.org.ua.

«We ask the citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine to remain calm and to contact the Embassy if they have additional questions», – said in the appeal.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had earlier reported that the Russian military had launched a special operation in Donbass in eastern Ukraine. Putin justified this move with the request of the leaders of the pro-Russian separatist forces in eastern Ukraine.

According to the Advisor to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Kyiv was shelled by rockets.

Shortly after the outbreak of hostilities, Ukrainian airspace was completely closed, and Russian airspace partially closed (only in the Rostov region).
