On June 11, a flight operated by Uzbekistan Airways on the Tashkent-Istanbul route departed 5.5 hours behind schedule, as reported by a source from QALAMPIR.UZ who was on board.

Flight HY271 was set to leave Tashkent at 07:40 and arrive in Istanbul at 11:00. However after passengers had boarded, they disembarked and returned to the terminal without any explanation.

QALAMPIR.UZ received information that the delay was due to the rear door of the aircraft not being properly closed. The Boeing-787 was eventually readied and departed for Istanbul at 13:11 Tashkent time. Passengers did not receive any compensation for the delay.

To clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Uzbekistan Airways' press service. The airline reported that an investigation into the incident is underway.

The press service explained that aircraft undergo continuous inspections both on the ground and in flight, including pre-departure checks. Passengers were provided with hot food and drinks while a replacement aircraft was prepared.

The press service emphasized that technical malfunctions can be discovered at any time.
