Case of former Minister Aziz Voitov will be discussed in court today

On August 15, a preliminary hearing will be held regarding the criminal cases against former Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov and others. This information was provided by Aziz Obidov, the spokesman for the Supreme Court.
It has been noted that A. Voitov, the former Minister of Agriculture, and others, including Kh. Karimov, the former Director of the Agency for the Provision of Services in Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, will have a preliminary hearing in the Tashkent City Court. This hearing is being held in connection with the consolidation of several criminal cases into one.
The preliminary hearing will take place in a closed court session by Article 405-6 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
For reference, the former minister is charged under several articles of the Criminal Code, including Article 167 (Misappropriation or Embezzlement), Part 3, Paragraphs "a" and "v"; Article 205 (Abuse of Power or Authority), Part 2, Paragraph "a"; Article 206 (Exceeding the Limits of Authority or Power), Part 2, Paragraph "a"; and Article 209 (Professional Fraud), Part 2, Paragraph "a."
It should be noted that it was previously reported that the case against former Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov had been brought to court.
