Uzhydromet has released its weather forecast for May 17. According to the announcement, different regions are expected to experience varying conditions throughout the day.

In Tashkent city, the weather will be partly cloudy and variable, with no significant rainfall expected in general. However, there is the possibility of a brief, short-term shower in the evening accompanied by a thunderstorm. The wind will change direction from east to west, blowing at speeds of 5–10 m/s and increasing to 12–15 m/s in some areas with accompanying dust and sand. On Tashkent’s forecast, temperatures will be around 22–24°C at night and warm up to 36–38°C during the daytime.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, conditions will also be partly cloudy, with occasional short-term rain showers and thunderstorms. Winds in these areas will arrive from the west at 7–12 m/s, potentially increasing to 13–18 m/s, and dust and sand may be observed; in some spots, gusts could reach 20–22 m/s. Nighttime temperatures are expected to be 15–20°C, while during the day temperatures will hover around 23–28°C.

In the regions of Bukhara and Navoi, the weather will be partly cloudy and variable with no expected precipitation. Winds will change from east to west with speeds of 7–12 m/s, and in some locations, their speed may increase to 13–18 m/s (occasionally up to 20–22 m/s with dust and sand present). The temperature in these regions is forecasted to be 20–25°C at night and between 28 and 33°C during the day.

Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh, and Samarkand regions will experience partly cloudy and variable conditions with no significant rainfall during the day. In the evening, however, there is a chance for a short burst of rain accompanied by a thunderstorm. Winds in these regions will initially blow from the east and then from the west at 7–12 m/s, increasing in some places to 13–18 m/s, with dust and sand sometimes reaching speeds of 20–22 m/s. Temperatures are expected to be 19–24°C at night and rising to between 33 and 38°C during the day.

In Kashkadarya and Surkhndarya regions, the forecast calls for partly cloudy, variable conditions with no significant rain expected. The wind will shift from east to west with speeds of 7–12 m/s, sometimes increasing to 13–18 m/s, and dust and sand may affect visibility; in some areas, gusts might reach 20–22 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be 20–25°C while daytime temperatures will range from 32 to 37°C.

For Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions, the weather will be partly cloudy and variable with little to no rainfall expected. Winds here will come from the east at speeds of 7–12 m/s, occasionally intensifying to 13–18 m/s, and in some spots dust and sand might be observed. Nighttime temperatures are expected to be 18–23°C and daytime temperatures are forecast to reach 35–40°C.

In the mountainous and highland areas across the republic, the weather will be partly cloudy and variable with occasional, short-lived bouts of rain and potential thunderstorms. Winds will shift from east to west, blowing at speeds of 7–12 m/s with occasional increases up to 13–18 m/s. The nighttime temperature in these regions will be cooler at around 13–18°C, while daytime temperatures will be in the range of 27–32°C.
