The travel platform CNN Travel, popular among travel enthusiasts, has presented a list of the world’s 50 best types of bread.
According to the publication, bread-making in Uzbekistan has risen to the level of an art, traditional tandoor ovens are used to bake round, spiral, and patterned loaves decorated with intricate stamps and designs.
’’Uzbek breads vary by region: Tashkent bread is softer and easier to chew, while Samarkand bread is topped with black sesame seeds,’’ CNN Travel wrote.
As soon as the breads are taken out of the tandoor, they are handed over to deliverymen who transport the warm loaves by bicycle to markets and teahouses.
