License plates are now randomly assigned

In Uzbekistan, starting from August 1, 2024, license plates will be randomly assigned to cars. This is mentioned in the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on making changes and additions to certain decisions aimed at ensuring traffic safety on highways, adopted yesterday, July 17.

In it, numbers are issued automatically in the "State number plates" module of the Unified Automated Information System of the Road Safety Service.

However, registration number plates that have a combination of letters and numbers are excluded from the increased payment rates.

Also, from December 1 of this year, applications related to the issuance of state registration number plates for motor vehicles will be sent through the mobile application of the Traffic Safety Service Department, the official website, the call center, or the Unified Interactive State Services Portal (my.gov.uz). It will be possible to send applications and make payments on the spot.

The essence of giving numbers in random order is that the number is randomly selected and formalized by the computer.
