Now, child allowance is only provided for the first child

In Uzbekistan, child allowance is exclusively granted for the first child. The decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers on March 4th under No. 110, aimed at enhancing the process of disbursing certain social benefits.

Effective April 1, 2024, the one-time allowance for childbirth will be as follows:

- For the first child, it will be available to all eligible women.
- For the second child, it will only be issued to women listed as members of a family registered in the "Unified Register of Social Protection" system at the time of the child's birth.
In all other circumstances, the allowance will not be provided.

To apply for a pension, individuals can either use the state service center or the State Pension Fund.

Adjustments are being introduced to Annex 4 of Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 550, dated October 20, 2023, which pertains to the administrative regulations for providing comprehensive state services related to birth registration.
