From the current academic year, admission to the master's program of state higher educational institutions will be held twice a year - in August and January.  This was stated in the presidential decision "On the organization of the admission process to state higher education institutions."

The decision states:

• Admission in August will be carried out in accordance with the parameters of admission based on approved state grants and fee-for-service for the next academic year, as well as on a fee-contract basis approved by the supervisory boards of financially independent universities;

• Admission in January will be carried out in accordance with the parameters of admission based on the results of the initial admission and the additional fee contract approved by the State Commission.

From this year, there will be no specialization exams for admission to master's programs at state universities.

Admission will be carried out based only on the applicant's average bachelor's degree score and the relevant national or international certificate score on the level of knowledge of a foreign language, in strict accordance with the sequence of scores.  No additional exams will be held.
