Uzbek national team and Roma striker Eldor Shomurodov is nearing a move to" Venezia", according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian club is reportedly close to securing a loan deal for the 29-year-old forward from "Roma".
Venezia, led by Eusebio Di Francesco, emerged as the frontrunner in the competition for Shomurodov, beating "Empoli" to the transfer. The deal is set to last until the end of the season, with an option for "Venezia" to buy the player at the conclusion of the loan.
This season, Shomurodov has made 15 appearances for "Roma", scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. The forward, who joined "Roma" in 2021, has a contract with the club until 2026. His current market value is estimated at 4 million euros according to "Transfermarkt".
Previously, it was reported that Shomurodov was a potential loan target for "Empoli".
