Eldar can continue his career in the Turkish Championship

Uzbek football player Eldor Shomurodov can continue his career in Turkish club “Galatasaray”.  This was reported by “Photospor”.

It is noted that the club wants to add a local forward to Mauro Icardi or a foreign striker of such a caliber that can be transferred in the new season without using the foreign quota.

According to it, the Uzbek football player who is a member of the Italian club “Roma” is currently in the same position.

The fact is that according to the decision of the Football Federation of the country, the players of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan who are now playing in the Turkish championship are not considered legionnaires.

Through this, “Galatasaray” will be able to bypass the limit of legionnaires in the Turkish Super League, which will start on August 11, and attract Eldor Shomurodov or a player from the countries listed above.

For information, Eldor Shomurodov spent the second half of the 2022/2023 season in the Italian club “Spezia”, scored one goal for the team in Serie A, and will return to “Roma” at the end of the season.

The unsuccessful season in Italy’s A series eased the situation a little against the background of Shomurodov’s achievements in the national team.  He became the record holder of Uzbekistan as the player who scored the most goals (37) in the national team.
