The basements of apartment blocks are converted into residential quarters

In Uzbekistan, residential quarters will be built in the basement of high-rise buildings. It was announced yesterday, 9 March at a press conference held in the participation of the Deputy Minister of Construction.

It was noted at the conference that the issue of amending and supplementing the existing normative documents in the field of urban planning in the country, to turn the basement of multi-storey residential buildings into a useful area was reconsidered, taking into account the proposals of interested ministries and departments. 
The main project institutes have developed model projects for the placement of residential quarters in the basement of 5, 7, 9, 12 and 16-storey residential buildings. According to the projects, in all types of housing projects there is a wide use of modern energy-saving building materials.

The state standard for the use of energy-saving materials in the construction of multi-storey residential buildings «Energy-saving wall structures, the use of structures from autoclave silicate gas-concrete in the construction of buildings» has been developed.
This standard was discussed in the Technical Council of the Ministry of Construction. The website of the Ministry of Construction has created an electronic database of housing objects within the framework of state targeted housing construction programs, indicating their location, the number of building materials used, the cost of multi-storey apartment buildings, etc.
