In this regard, the "Adolat" Social Democratic Party (SDP) has proposed an initiative in their pre-election program to institutionalize this practice, ensuring that deputies allocate half of their working hours to directly engage with constituents.

This initiative holds significance for several reasons:

  • Closer Connection to Constituents: By being regularly present among the voters, deputies can listen firsthand to their issues, needs, and suggestions. This strengthens the representation of public interests in the law-making process, ensuring that the people's voice is better heard in parliament;
  • Increased Accountability: When deputies spend time in front of their constituents, they can directly report on their work and progress. This fosters a greater sense of responsibility and transparency in their duties, enhancing their accountability to the public;
  • Social Stability: The close interaction between deputies and voters contributes to social stability, allowing citizens to voice their concerns and opinions through their elected representatives. This connection helps ensure that the people's needs are addressed in the parliamentary process.

By engaging more frequently with the electorate, deputies build trust, foster a deeper understanding of their responsibilities, and develop laws that reflect the real needs of the people.

Each meeting and dialogue shape future decisions, making the legislative process more aligned with the public's interests.
