Government bodies are prohibited from overspending until the end of the year

Certain government bodies are prohibited from acquiring fixed assets and repairing buildings and structures until the end of this year. This is stated in the decision of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev «On the further improvement of inter-budgetary relations and tax administration».

According to the decision, in 2022, 40% of the funds transferred to the regional budgets from the excess of value added tax revenues, will remain in the republican budget.

From 1 May 2022, the contributions from off-budget funds of state bodies and organizations to the Fund for Support of Development of the Civil Service will be terminated.

Also, in April-December 2022, 15 percent of the revenues of off-budget funds of state bodies and proceeds from the placement of free funds in a bank will be transferred to the Republic budget.

In addition, until the end of the current year, state bodies are prohibited from acquiring basic equipment and repairing buildings and structures (except schools, kindergartens, medical and medical-social institutions, orphanages).

Towers, bridges, reservoirs (fire depots, tanks), sheds, canopies, concrete platforms and walls (border) are not taken into account as a tax base when calculating property tax for legal entities.
