State Budget Law for 2025 officially adopted in Uzbekistan

On December 24, Uzbekistan officially adopted the Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025.”  

The law governs the formation and execution of the consolidated budget for the upcoming year. It specifies the maximum budget allocations from the republican budget to first-level budget allocators for 2025. These funds must be utilized within the 2025 financial year and will not roll over to the following year.  

A budget deficit limit of 3% of Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) was established for 2025.  

Key approvals under the law include:  
- Minimum rental rates for individuals and legal entities leasing property;  
- Limited rates for retail trade permits for certain goods;  
- Fees for foreign vehicles entering or transiting through Uzbekistan.  

The law is set to take effect on January 1, 2025.  

State budget revenues are projected at 308.5 trillion sums, with expenditures reaching 344.8 trillion sums. Additionally, state trust fund revenues (excluding inter-budgetary transfers) are planned at 66.4 trillion sums, while expenditures are forecasted at 62.8 trillion sums.  

The Senate of the Oliy Majlis approved the law on December 18, paving the way for its final adoption.
