Some regions may be threatened by floods on Sunday

Between 24-25 April of the current year, the mountainous and sub-mountainous zones may suffer from the risk of flooding.  This is reported by the Hydrometeorology Service Center.

Warm and dry weather is expected in Uzbekistan today, 22 April, except in some districts of Karakalpakstan with short-term thunderstorms.  The temperature will be approximately 25 to 28 degrees Celsius during the day.

Tomorrow, 23 April dry and warm weather is expected to remain in most of the territory of Uzbekistan.  Only in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm region and some deserted areas, short-term rains are expected due to the inflow of moist and relatively cool air from the Volga region.

On Sunday, wet air mass will cover all regions of Uzbekistan.  Rain and thunderstorms are expected in most of the country. Heavy rains will be observed in Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Syrdarya regions and the Fergana valley.  The air temperature will drop slightly and during the day will not exceed 20-25 degrees.

In some areas of the country, the wind speed will increase up to 17-22 m / s.

On Monday, 25 April rain is expected in the central and eastern regions of Uzbekistan.
