The mayor of Chirchiq is set to transition to a new position

Davron Hidoyatov, currently serving as mayor of Chirchiq city in the Tashkent region, is anticipated to commence work in a different role, according to the regional government's press service.

Regional governor Zoyir Mirzayev extended well wishes to Davron Hidoyatov for his upcoming move to a new position, while serving as mayor of Chirchiq city.

As part of this recognition, Davron Hidoyatov received an honorary certificate from the regional administration. However, the mayor's office did not specify the nature of Hidoyatov's forthcoming role.

For context, Davron Hidoyatov, born in 1976 in Tashkent, graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics in 1998 and the Academy of Banking and Finance in 2001. His previous roles include serving as mayor of Chilonzor district from 2017 to 2018, first deputy mayor of Tashkent city from 2018 to 2021, and mayor of Tashkent region from January to November 2021.

He was reassigned from the regional administration to become mayor of Chirchiq in November 2021.

It's worth noting that news emerged on March 13 that Hidoyatov had submitted a resignation letter from his current position.
