5130Individuals with outstanding waste collection debts will now be granted a 5-day grace period before being restricted from paying for electricity. This update was discussed during the second reading of the draft law on December 24, which proposes new payment mechanisms in waste collection and disposal services.
Under the new regulation, consumers with waste debts will first receive a short notice. They will then have five days to settle their dues before any action is taken. If payment is not made within this period, the consumer will be barred from making electricity payments.
Additionally, waste removal organizations will now bear greater responsibility for accurate billing. These organizations must ensure fair and correct calculations of payments. Should there be any discrepancies, service providers will be required to compensate consumers for damages.
The adoption of this draft law aims to enhance payment mechanisms for waste services and improve the overall quality of waste collection and disposal across the country. The law has passed its third reading by deputies.
