Individuals who promised to send citizens to work in the United States, Japan, and South Korea have been apprehended in four regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to the report, during an operation conducted jointly by the Sergeli District Department of the agency and the State Security Service, citizens I.Q. and A.A.—both previously convicted of fraud—were detained with material evidence. They had gained the trust of citizen A.T. and allegedly received $22,000, claiming they could arrange employment in the United States through their high-level contacts.

Similarly, in a joint operation by the Namangan Regional Department of the agency and the State Security Service, citizens X.T., A.A., and others were caught with material evidence while receiving $10,000 out of an agreed $32,000. They had allegedly promised to secure jobs in Japan through acquaintances.

In another case, during an operation carried out with the Fergana City Department and the State Security Service, the head of the Fergana branch of “B.G.” LLC, N.A., introduced himself to citizen A.A. as an employee of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency. He claimed he could provide an employment certificate for South Korea in exchange for $10,000 and was caught with material evidence while receiving $5,000.

Additionally, during an operation conducted in cooperation with the Andijan Regional Department and the State Security Service, an employee of the "A." language training center, Kh.Sh., and citizen F.O. were apprehended with material evidence. They were accused of issuing a G1 visa for work in South Korea and receiving $4,500 from a citizen in return.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Articles 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Investigative actions are currently underway.

It should be noted that earlier in the Fergana region, another individual was arrested for promising employment in the United Kingdom and collecting money from citizens.
