A visitor was injured while riding a faulty amusement attraction in a recreational area in Bustonlik district, Tashkent region, on May 2. The incident was captured on video and shared with the editorial team of QALAMPIR.UZ.

To verify the details, the media outlet reached out to Bekzod Berdiev, head of the press service of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety. According to committee representatives, specialists from the regional department in Tashkent examined the attraction featured in the video. It was determined that the incident occurred at an amusement ride in the Ugam resort area of the “Khumson” neighborhood.

Reportedly, abrupt movements during the ride caused a braking system failure, leading to the visitor colliding with a barrier.

Following a thorough investigation, officials recommended suspending the use of the attraction until all safety deficiencies are resolved. The resort’s management has been instructed to address the issues before reopening the ride to the public.

It is worth noting that a similar incident previously occurred in Namangan region, where four individuals were injured due to a malfunctioning amusement ride.
